About

Classic cars should be driven.

Mile Club is a small Irish site that helps people buy and sell shares in classic cars, then share the car fairly once they own it.

Why it exists

Most classic cars in Ireland spend the year under a cover. The owner pays insurance, tax, storage and servicing for twelve months and drives the car on a handful of dry Sundays. Meanwhile plenty of people would love a classic but can't justify buying one outright, or don't have anywhere to keep it.

Sharing fixes both problems. The owner keeps a share and the car gets used. Buyers get a proper car for a quarter of the cost. The tricky part has always been the arrangements: who books which weekends, who pays for what, and what happens when someone wants out. That's what Mile Club is for.

Who runs it

Mile Club is run by Paul Cassidy from Greystones, Co. Wicklow, with the Sally Gap and the coast road on the doorstep. Paul has spent seventeen years in technology, at companies including Google and Salesforce, and also runs Prospectio.ai. Mile Club is a side project built for the kind of car people actually drive in Ireland, from Morris Minors to E-Types.

You can reach Paul at hello@mileclub.ie.

How Mile Club makes money

  • A one-off €9 fee when a buyer unlocks a seller's details, refunded if the seller doesn't reply in 7 days.
  • €15 a month per car for groups who use the shared booking calendar.
  • €99 a month for dealers. Private owners list up to 2 cars free.

We never take a cut of the share price and we never hold money for a sale. Buyers pay sellers directly. During our launch, listing and contacting sellers is free.

What we check

  • A person reviews every listing before it goes live.
  • Shares can't be advertised as an investment or with promises of returns. Listings that try are blocked.
  • Sellers have to confirm they own the car or are authorised to sell shares in it.
  • Some cars shown while we launch are examples, clearly marked, so you can see how listings work. They can't be contacted.

We don't inspect cars, so get an independent inspection before you pay for a share. Our guides explain what to check.
